Quoteable moments

Some both Drew and Bella have each said this month. Totally worth writing down and scrapbooking!!!

"Hi, I'm Nikki" said Nikki to out next door neighbour whilst walking to the local park
"I'm Drewie" said Drew "and this is my friend, Dad"

"I need to goilet" said Bella (go toilet)

It's something I do...

From when the kids were all born, I have their measurements each month and then when they reached 12 months continued it every three months from there. Thankfully, the kids birthdays are April, July and October (all three months apart) so that only month I "really" need to remember is January.

Josh, 118.5cm, 19.9kg, size 12 shoes
Nikki, 109.5cm, 19.2kg, size 11 shoes
Drew, 103.5cm, 15.8kg, size 11 shoes
Bella, 87cm, 12.2kg, size 6 shoes

Something, I have noticed about Josh is he grows up to 4.5cm in three months x 2 and then doesn't grow any more until six months later. Interesting...

Kinder meeting tomorrow, dress fitting, suit shopping, cake shopping (if we can fit it in), Nat is working (so dinner needs to be cooked early etc.) so I had better go to bed.
Nite.

Mummy... are you okay?

I was having a coughing fit in the meals area before and Drew calls out from his room "Mummy!"

When I got in his room he said "Mummy, are you okay?"

How sweet is that, he is concerned about me coughing when he isn't 100% well himself... Oh my little cuddley boy.

A layout! OMG!

I had a business call on Tueday night (same night as my dummy saga, I’ll get to that in a minute...) and I said on the phone that I had forgotten how to scrap! Shock horror as I have done only 15 layouts THIS year (plus one mini album.) So I decided to set myself a task of scrapping and use no Stampin Up products or very minimal. I hit the Making Memories stash pretty hard as most of the products are from MM.

Photo of Josh and Nikki taken in May 2005, whilst holidaying in Albury for their Great Gran’s 90th birthday.

Materials list
Cardstock: Bazzill
Patterned Paper: Making Memories
Ink: Stampin Up – Creamy Caramel, Palm Plum, Perfect Plum
Other: Making Memories rub ons & chipboard hearts, Heidi Swapp ghost shapes & photo corners and Stampin’ Up! rub ons

Tuesday night of course Drew didn’t want to settle as I had the business phone call. He must have sensed my anxiety or something. Josh had a sleepover at Nanna’s after the hand surgeon appointment (no more visits required for the moment) and the girls were asleep. Drew managed to lose his dummy somewhere in the house (still hasn’t turned up) and wouldn’t take any other dummy I’d offer him. (I even took Nikki’s dummy off her whilst she was sleeping and tried him with that!) I was at a loss what to do, with Nat at work and my phone call in less than 15 minutes I was frantically searching the house (for the damm dummy!) As soon as Drew got her desired dummy he was off to sleep in a flash (thank goodness) as I was at the end of my rope with him.

Obviously, I have been struggling with coping the last few days (especially yesterday). Many people aren’t noticing (I think) as I do a pretty good job covering it up when I try to but it is a lot easier to let it all out especially when it is just you and your thoughts.

New creation!

Finally a new creation. I made time today to sit down and get stuck into things. It helped that the oldest 2 kids had a sleepover at Nanna's house and that I wasn't in the emergency room at Frankston hospital with Drew. (He bleed from his tonsils surgery so Wednesday evening/Thursday morning was very long!) It's healing well but if it happens again (hopefully it doesn't, he will have to be admitted to Monash Medical Centre for a few days

Today's card uses another stamp from the circle of friendship stamp set (from the eScape bundle). I also used it on another card but that has to wait until tomorrow as the photo was blurry since Bella was trying to get in the picture and take the card.

Without further ado, here it is!
Materials list: (All Stampin' Up! products used)
Stamps: Circle of friendship, Baroque motifs
Ink: Sahara Sand, Soft Sky, Whisper White, Old Olive
Other: 1 3/8" square punch, 1" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, sponge daubers

Thanks for looking.
Cheers,
Ros

Quickie!

Just a quick post before I leave to take Drew to the hospital. He is most upset that he can't have breakfast or milk as he really wants. I haven't managed breakie yet either so I am going to have to see if I can sneak it in!

Made a new card last night, one of my favourites (isn't anything new.) It was too late to photograph it so tomorrow will have to do. It is a one layer card. Something completely new for me!

Drew's crying at my feet now, must go.

9 lives?

Should be in bed, updating my photos a week journal while waiting for the printer to spit out some 200 pages I need for the Picture to Page craft show next weekend. Some excuse while I have been absent from writing, my SIL has been over from Perth and then today's drama's... Hence the 9 lives title. I am to tired to put it into more words now so to read a condensed version check out the italics font towards the end of the this entry.

Week Seventeen
21st – 27th April

Photo shoot with the Davidson family taken by Katie Toland.
Make your own pizza’s dinner with the Davidson’s.
Only had 1 car for most of the week (the bus, Kia Carnival) as we leant the Berlina to Grandma & Grandad as the transmission in their Magna went.
Portfolio interview at Josh’s kinder. Absolute classic was seeing a family photo of the 6 of us and with Nat it said “That’s Daddy, Daddy #4”. (I think he meant that Daddy is 4 years old like himself.) Alongside my photo it said “Mummy, Ros or Rose, is 8!” Also mentioned other things about me being on the “puter” and making Joshie something crafty.
Nikki went with Aunty Fiona to visit Cousin Aunty Helen & Ashlyn Dellow. Stayed over at Grandma’s house for two nights as well.
Stampin’ Up! Team meeting at Claire’s house. Got there later than wished for (2pm) but stayed until getting quite tired at 10pm. Got the great news that she is taking me on the Stampin’ Up Incentive Trip to Palm Cove in August... So unexpected as I didn’t qualify but Claire thinks I will get a lot out for it. Did I mention it is a FREE trip paid for by Stampin' Up!
Visit to the psychologist again. New medication to take when anxious. Small yellow tablets called “Neulactil 2.5mg”
Drew got into daddy’s rocketry box which was filled with resins, epoxy and all sorts of special glues. Drew squeezed some into Bella’s hair and (on the carpet and Aunty Fiona’s bed) and Bella had the tip of one of the bottles in her mouth. Talk about a freak out. Josh and Nikki did exactly as they were told and woke Daddy up with “Drew, rocket glue” or something like that... Bella has been a little more grizzly today (which the Poisons Information line said she could be) but not sure if her teeth are also a contributing factor in there as well.

Ros
P.S. Did you read my good news about my trip to Palm Cove in August... Can't wait, 5 days, 4 nights no kids, ahhh a nice break.... and all for me!!!

Not happy jan...

Also just updated with a post I wrote previously but had never posted... See here for details about stitched birdies.

I updated the retiring list of stamps and accessories this morning. See this post for up to date info. Also just a quick note that sale-a-bration ends on Friday 29th. Only a few more days to get your orders in for free stamps or your change to join the Stampin' Up! and get a free stamp set up to $79.95 of value from Stampin' Up! and a background stamp or a set of watercolour crayons as a present for joining from myself.

Been quite busy the last few days, had 2 workshops over the weekend as well as Nat working so if I wasn't busy selling Stampin' Up! I was busy cooking...

Here's my take on Beate's weekend sketch challenge #36.

Materials:
Cardstock: Basic black, whisper white, pink passion, taken with teal

Ink: Basic Black

Other: Stampin' Markers - summer sun, taken with teal, not quite navy, pink passion, circle punch, misc. ribbon, cuttlebug and bling

I have been asked by a friend to make some mother's day and wedding cards. I have done 3 so far but was meant to be doing some last night. That was before Nikki and Drew decided to decorate the lounge room. All while Josh was asleep and I was helping Fiona, my new recruit with online ordering for Stampin' Up! I ask, is there ever going to be a good time to work in my house without being distracted by fights, questions or phone calls?

To top off things, Nikki and Drew did a wee on the carpet and I had no vaccum cleaner bags left... Not happy jan I tell you!

Cheers,
Ros

Errr... stuff

*Edited to add, for every order placed via my blog or e-mail between now and March 31st, you will be in the draw for $30 product of your choice and a level 1hostess set. This is my way of saying thank you for helping me reach my goals. If I do reach both my goals there will be 2 draws instead of the 1.*

Before I forget, seeing as I typed Drew’s latest word (or noise rather) in a word document so I could blog it (and have a date for it...) This is for my info more than anything but it is still very cute. I dressed Drew in a new pj top tonight (Sunday 6th) one that I found when cleaning out the boys closest. It is one my MIL made and is blue satin with bees on it. Anyway... Drew was going “is that ‘zzzz’ for me?”
Oh so cute the way he was saying bees, LOL well he was trying to say buzz which I took mean bees, seeing as he can say Buzz (as in, Buzz Lightyear).

Once again I have been cleaning, seeing as it is the word I have “chosen” for this year. Well, the word is actually “organisation”. Unfortunately you can’t have organisation, without cleaning. I now have a cleaner computer desk, a far cleaner floor in the study (so much so that I can sit on it and throw stuff around... LOL), a wonderfully organised Stampin’ Up! Cardstock container and labels stamp pads. Mind you, none of this has left me which much time to create however. Why is it so hard to have organisation and mojo?

Whilst labelling my ink pads, I made a decision. Seeing as I have my last three months of my Stampin’ Start left (Stampin’ Up! give you your choice of free stamps sets when you are a demonstrator and reach set goals in your first 6 months with Stampin Up!) and I have a sales figure to reach (also a recruiting figure) if I reach my sales figure I am going to buy myself the colour cady (page 147 in the catalogue) http://catalogs.shoplocal.com/stampinup/index.aspx?pagename=shopmain&fsid=64211caf-d215-4ed0-b361-665d5cc40ffe&storeid=1039381&circularid=10393 and if I reach my recruiting figure I will buy myself a new splurge item in the new catalogue (no idea what is in there until March!) If anyone wants to help me meet my goals, both in sales and/or recruiting, feel free to contact me on rosnat@iprimus.com.au and I will be more than happy to help you.

For anyone that signs up under me, I will give you a background stamp of your choice valued at $33.95 not to mention plenty of ideas and tips to begin a fun new journey.

Now for the engagement card I mentioned last post. I have used:
Stamps: Merci (Sale-a-bration set) & Warmest Regards (level 1 hostess set)
Cardstock: Rose red, pretty in pink, chocolate chip, whisper white, old olive, glossy white
Ink: black stazon
Other: Rose red & pretty in pink stampin’ markers, circle punch, nestabilities dies & brads.

I have a few other creations I have finished just I have resized the photos etc. so they will have to wait for the next post...

Final card

So I finally finished the card. Obviously my order arrived and I managed to squeeze the time in to get it done... In between all my running around today grocery shopping, running errands for Nat who has a bucks party all weekend and is currently after doing O/T at work..., walked the kids to childcare and I have to drive Nat to Portsea (grrr)...

Now back to the cards, they are not my designs (I'll be honest!) I got the inspiration of Splitcoaststampers and tweaked them to make them more mine.

All Stampin Up products used for all the cards, if you want further info, more than happy to list it for you.

Now for my update, my little "no fear" boy did this to himself on Cup Day. 2nd photo taken on the Thursday (8th). He put a chair on top of the outdoor table and fell (somehow).

With it splurting blood like no tomorrow (and Nat not being very calm) we rang the ambulance. They came out and cleaned Drewie up and suggested to us to take him to The Valley Hospital (as we have private health insurance). We were at The Valley for less than an hour and Drew was so good. They used "glue" to stick his forehead back together. Mind you it was $260 later (we got $190 back from Medicare) but honestly I would have paid whatever seeing as it was a public holiday and we weren't waiting forever at Frankston Hospital.

Bella is nearly 7 months old now! Yup my little bubba is getting bigger!

I call her Boo (as in Bella Boo and this is some journaling I typed up and saved as I was "in the moment".

Boo you are nearly 7 months old now and sit up so confidently.
You will sit and play with toys for a long time (half an hour or more) as long as they are close enough for you to reach.
You pull your dummy in and out of your mouth often.
You love to be wrapped up (angel wrap) for bed and settled down for sleep straight away.
You aren’t crawling yet and are happy to have more tummy time than last month when you would grizzle and carry on.
You don’t have any teeth yet, love to eat fruit and vegetables with yogurt and custard being your favourites.
When someone familiar comes into the room, you wiggle and wave your arms with around as if to say “Hello” as you aren’t saying any words yet.

I had a Stampin Up course on Saturday, was great fun and I learnt lots of new stuff (samples and more classes coming up soon). I did have to leave early though as Alan (may as well be my step dad) had a car accident in my mum's car (and mum is overseas with my sister). Nat helped Alan out but I couldn't be creative once I knew there had been an accident. I guess I was super worried as mum was away and I knew there was nothing she could do (nor could I really but you know...)

I brought Alan home from the hospital on Monday night as he had to go in for a check up. I had Josh and Nikki with me (and they were calling Alan, Bummer read Bammar, as that is what they call him) and 2 people thought that Alan was Josh and Nikki's dad. So if Alan was supposed to be Josh and Nikki's dad, what does that make me? LOL... Of course the 2 of us corrected the people quickly saying Daddy was at home and that he was Grandad.

Have been busy checking up on Alan and answering queries for mum with a little creating in between. Sent out card swaps for the Christmas Card swap I was hosting on Bon's Scraps (awesome cards by everyone). Have my Summer mini catalogue swap for Stampin Up to do now. Made a start on it last night and got a bit done and I didn't procrasinate like I usually do so it was definete progress.

Off to go and do more of it now.

Ros.

P.S. When taking photos with your camera, remember to put the memory card back in after downloading pics! LOL that is what I did before and took 2, yes TWO photos of my Mr and Mrs card before I clicked what the No CF card message was! Huge blonde moment happening here. LOL!!!!

P.P.S Miss Nikki's latest funny (going to do a layout about it especially with my All in the Family stamp set (more about that next post))

Grandmas cat is called “Castle” said Nikki

The cat is really called Tassle! LOL

Catch up

Had my first party today. Went well, forgot things when demoing and stuff I meant to mention... Must make better list next time. Host name was also Ros and she doesn’t like tea or coffee and isn’t married either.... Just a little freaky! LOL

Took the kids to blastball this morning. They enjoyed it but wanted to be outside. They were indoors as it was windy and cold. My kids didn’t actually do the whole session today as I left the club rooms to find out info about Nat playing again so that had to follow me and ended up on the play equipment. Figures!

Okay so I started this post over a week ago and got majorly slack and didn’t finish it. I had another party on the weekend, this time a 12 year old girl’s birthday party. Was interesting.... Too many people though. It wasn’t my party originally but I got offered it off someone else from my team so I thought, why not take it! They made a card and decorated an envelope, a bag and a mini layout. Also too many things to do and the girls ended up so excited and just wanted to talk and stuff lots of the time. The card wasn't my design (I CASED it off someone on SCS, I think...) but all the rest of the stuff is all Ros orignals. LOL... Struggled so hard with the layout as it was for beginners... now I do simple but it was hard to come up with I tell you. I like simplistic more! LOL, in the end I focused on techniques for the layout, faux stitching, inking using sponge daubers, stamps and cutting it out as well as stamping directly onto the layout and using punches.

I have loads of photos of the kids to share seeing as it was both Nikki and Drew’s birthdays this month and Bella’s half birthday (LOL). Need to edit the photos still but am going to get that done today as I want to place my photo order online.

Useless info, but things I want to remember.

Nikki loves to eat mandarins, as does Drew and Drew also eats strawberries now. Josh still doesn’t eat any fruit other than apples, grapes, strawberries, two fruits (peach and pear). Much like me I guess, LOL as I don’t eat citrus (which is why I only discovered last week that N and D love to eat mandarins!)

Bella shoves the spoon into her mouth while I am feeding her (or the spoon she is holding onto). I am sure she will be yet another Miss Indepentent little girl and feeding herself soon enough.

Ate my first home grown strawberry this morning. We have over 30 strawberries on the plants but this was the only red one and I wasn’t sharing it! Oh it was oh so yummy!

Trying to tell my boobs to stop producing milk as I can’t feed B breastmilk anymore coz of my meds and I swear it feels like I have gotten more milk in the last 2 days than I did for 2 weeks! A case of dealing with the fullness as long as possible and then expressing some as it is too painful otherwise. Tried peppermint oil to see if it would help dry the milk up, not as of yet but still trying!

B is awake so need to attend to her. Does it ever end? LOL and it has taken me all day so far to write this post. Between cooking meat pies for Nat and the kids for dinner, the kinder run, washing, dishes, feeding Bella etc... ahhhhh

Holey Cow!

Holey cow, I'm actually doing a post and one of some sort of substance. No pictures though even though I promised it in the last post (over a month ago...) I have put off blogging as I have had so much to say and I haven't known where to start so I put it off some more.

It is Nikki's 3rd birthday today. We gave her some clothes and new sandles this morning and boy was she excited. After childcare (we are picking her up early) she will get her scooter and dora puzzle and a chance to play without the other kids touching... Most importantly she will help me make her birthday cake and get to lick the bowl all my herself too.

Josh and Nikki no longer were nappies at all and haven't for over 2 months now. Nikki is better than Josh about not wetting the bed, but then again, he is a boy.... Drew only wears a nappy for nighttime and it is only Bella in nappies full time. I swear, we are begining to finally have some more room in our rubbish bin now. Could also be due to the fact that I am putting my veggie scraps in the garden to encourage the worms and improve the soil.

Bella is on solids now and loving it and attempts to feed herself while you feed her by helping shove the spoon in her mouth. I took photos of her the first day she had solids (if you can call rice ceral that!) and boy were she ever so ready for it. No funny faces or anything like that at all.

I am about to start yet another medication for PND. Not only have the Efexor given my yuck side affects including severe itchy skin, nasty dreams and seriously bad nighttime sweats but it hasn't worked well enough. I now have to stop breastfeeding Bella as the new meds I will be on aren't safe for breastfeeding. I have feed her for nearly 6 months and am okay with that as I feed her longer than the other kids and she has also had some issues gaining weight over the last month. Not to mention as she was so hungry (didn't have enough milk to feed her properly) she wasn't sleeping well at all again and was waking up 3 times a night for a feed.

Josh, Nikki and Drew started Blastball last Saturday. So cute and they loved it. Drew got a little bored half way through and went to see Nanna for a cuddle but then he isn't quite 2 and they don't like you to start until you are 3. I didn't like my chances of keeping him on the sidelines if the other 2 were playing. He certainly got the idea as well as the other kids only he has far more issues batting.... LOL all to cute though.

Have my first Stampin Up party on Saturday and then another one next Friday. Also have one booked for November but am loving my stash of stamps and am doing well at selling them (and also buying them for myself *giggles*) Next Friday's party is a 12 year olds birthday party so that will be interesting. Need to make some samples etc. that they will be making and it will be so different to a "usual" party.

Off to watch last weeks House in peace and quiet before something else draws my attention away.

Will be back with photos soon as there is some really cute ones and need to show Aunty "Nona" as well!

Dinner, Drew style!

So I have been lazy again as usual. These things happen. Last night while feeding Bella I was reading this blog and Drew decided to come in and try his hand at mischief like the 6 kids Dawn has.

Okay so I was breastfeeding at the computer and Drew was in the kitchen eating his dinner, of spaghetti bol. In walks Drew with his bowl and fork into the study.

Me: "Drew, take you dinner back into the kitchen and sit at the bench" and I turn back around to read some more seriously funny reading.
Me: "Drew, food, kitchen now!" and I repeated this quite a few times. Normally, I would have escorted him back to the bench but all the while feeding Bella makes it a little harder and I needed the use of both hands to deal with him.

Sick and tired of listening to me repeating myself Drew thought he would take matters into his own hands, and upend the contents of his bowl (remember it is spaghetti bol.) onto my carpet in the study. After ignoring my various protests and threats to pick it up and put it back in his bowl, he thought it looked much tastier and yummier to eat it off the floor. (Yes, I know you are all going "gross" but then this is a child that thinks going outside to play is to eat dirt!)

Drew proceeds to eat it off the floor (even using his fork) and occasionally putting some back into his bowl. As I had now finished feeding Bella (who still needed burping) I picked up the mess off the floor and dumped in all into his bowl and left it on the bench so I could burp the screaming baby! Drew thought his dinner looked even better again and begun to eat it yet again and ignoring my protests. I repeated the process of putting it back on the bench again (and you think I would have learnt and put it in the sink but Bella's screaming was getting too much.) Drew then decides his gross dinner now looks far better to eat if it is in Bella's bottle steriliser... Seriously, come on, how can one dinner not look very inviting in a Bob the Builder bowl yet look so much yummier on my study floor (still stained slightly from the pasta sauce) and in a baby bottle steriliser container.... and yet, I need to remind myself this kid likes to eat dirt. Sometimes, I really do wonder why do I bother feeding him at all. Shouldn't I just let him go outside and find his own?

LOL, be back latter with news and layouts.

Forever!

Okay so it has been like, forever since I last posted. I am online everyday checking out blogs, just not updating my own.

Bella has slept through a few nights now, even two in a row but as it was not something I was prepared for (none of the other kids have ever slept through at 3 months) I was up late waiting for her to wake for a feed. The extra sleep was good except for my boobs felt as if the were about to burst! LOL

Drew has started toilet training. I couldn't ignore it any longer... Not that I wanted to, I just wasn't ready to deal with it. Still not really but he is doing it himself. Drew also now sleeps in Josh and Nikki's room (in Nikki's bed). Loves being a big boy and settles quite well only getting up once usually before going to sleep. Tried him sleeping in his room only he kept on getting up and if put back in the cot would climb out of it. Also in the toddler room at childcare (has been for a while) and loving the bigger kids to play with. Was getting so bored in the babies room as he was so much older than most of the kids.

On the bench with the food whilst eating... Why, no idea, just wanted to press Mummy's buttons I think!

Cry baby because he was getting no presents on Josh's birthday.

Nikki currently sleeping in Drew's cot (even though there is a bed in that room) but she is loving the novelty of it all. Who am I to stop her?

Miss Cheese... what a cheesey smile...

Who me? Showing off for the camera, no never!

Josh had an awesome birthday filled with Thomas things and kept asking for days after (and still is) can I have a prize (suprise) now? Josh is spending at lot of time in the kinder room at childcare and loving it and they keep on telling me how good he has been. If only he was like that at home all the time.
Make a wish...
I'm 4!
Nat, not much to say about him other than he needs a haircut (LOL) and has been working overtime every week since the finanical year begun. Money is great but looking at how much he has earnt so far, I am going OMG our centrelink estimate is going lookinh so wrong so far.

Nat is currently at my brother's place in Gippsland with the older two kids. (Hopefully having a boy). It is nice having just he two "babies" here but Drew is missing the older kids to play with.

Me, now... Going to be almost like a book in length! Love the scrap n chat even if I was overwhelmed when I first went in there. Got so many RAK's given to me and I hadn't even sat down. Bella was a champ and slept all the time I was there practically except when I woke her to feed her.

I had a so so birthday. It was just another day really. Nat wasn't organised enough to get my present (as he didn't know what to buy me other than craft which he didn't want to do) but he did bring me home a rose. He worked until 6am of my birthday so spent a fair portion of the day sleeping. I had threapy support group in the the afternoon and then an hour long relaxation massage. (Was so good). Good more goodies for my birthday through out the week with all the birthday celebrations going on but it was all more Josh's birthday celebrations not mine as a 4 year old's birthday must overshadow his 27 year old mothers!!!

Had a few very bad days in amongst some happier ones. Had my meds changed twice now, first one caused sucidal thoughts etc. so was definetly no good and things were extreamly scary for a while. Onto one now that is better but things are being taking very slowly in regards to any changes made.

Had our tax done on Friday, getting money back, always a pleasing though. Nat is currently getting more back than me on paper at the moment, as I got all my tax back so all deductions that either of us could have claimed, (medical expenses and childcare) had to go onto Nat's. I still will get the rest of the centrelink money on mine so all in all my bank balance should look good in a few weeks time. Pity it won't be long as the visa looks terrible.

Okay, other than a few layouts that is about all for this post! And this post is like a book, one that requires volumes probably LOL, so if your still here, good on you and only a little bit more to go.

P.S. I forgot, I got the guest DT at Bon Scrap's this month. Love this layout! Another photo from our Katie Toland photoshoot.

P.P.S. Still hoping to enter FK just need to get my act together. Have one layout, maybe two finished and one nearly done. Need to get cracking...

Bits & Pieces from the last couple of days...

You know you’ve been listening to a cd too much in the car when your 2 year old starts singing along the words (Snow Patrol cd.)

Had our local doctors clinic ring up the other day and the doctor I saw when Drew was diagnosed with German measles was giving me a follow up call to hurry up and get my follow up blood test done. What service is that? Bloody unbelievable and fantastic if you ask me. Just what I needed, (the reminder) and it made me go and get the blood test slip and put it ready in my handbag.

Drew said “nite nite Nikki,” “ights” (lights) and stop (follow by the hand action) on Friday…

When Josh says “fat controller” it sounds like (f**ken control).

Nikki & Josh settled in bed tonight with me hardly being in the room at all… Noice! Josh was asleep in 10-15 minutes and Nikki had to get up and have some milk (as she didn’t have any before hoping into bed) and settled straight away after that… I only hope that they do it more often when it is just me and the kids (not Nat home.)

I am so tired after going to bed early (in bed at 9pm and asleep before 10pm) and waking twice during the night to children and twice because of the baby. It has just hit past 10am and I am already struggling and Nat not only has work tonight but on Monday night as well.

Having serve pain in my pelvis now, getting comfortable in bed is agony. I have to sleep with ice packs and lay on my back propped up to reasonably comfortable to get any sleep. Mind you I sleep best on my side so it certainly makes it all interesting. That and how I feel like I am waddling!

Trying to have nanna naps on the couch this weekend while Drew is asleep and the other kids watch a dvd in the lounge room. Help is in short supply at the moment and especially since it is a long weekend.

Went out for lunch with all my family yesterday for my brother’s 28th birthday. Struggled from the car to the bistro with the kids and Drew in a pram and me on crutches. (Nat wasn’t there yet as he was coming in his own car because he had to work that night and neither my mum or sister where answering their mobiles when I called for some help!) The kids had a great time and my brother laughed at his “cake” I made him… A mars bar muffin… I told him I thought he was big enough to not require a whole cake! By the looks of it he enjoyed it and didn’t have to share! I didn’t take my camera as I could barely walk let along take decent photos.
Oh yeah, and of course as soon as we got into the lift (there was stairs) Josh pressed the emergency call button…. Of all the buttons it was that one he HAD to press!

Cheers,
Ros

Two posts in one day...

Two posts in one day is quite unusual for me... Then again it is quite unusual for Drew to be sick with either a viral infection or german measels. He has had all of his vacinations and there is little we can do for him at the moment. He has a nasty rash (like thing) on his back and a little on his face and chest.

I tell you, this is so not what I need right now. I had to cancel my midwives appointment in case I am infectious. I had blood tests today, results in 3 days time with a repeat blood test in 10 days time. Here is hoping that it won't affect the baby. The hospital said I am lucky I am not further on in my pregnancy as german measels sticks around for a while and if I was 37-39 weeks pregnant it would be more of an issue. Here is hoping Drew doesn't have it (and the other kids don't get it!)

Today adfter the doctors I had to call a friend from mum's group and say Drew won't be at her son's birthday party, call childcare to cancel Drew for tomorrow and let them know what was going on and arrange for someone to watch Drew at home since I have to work tomorrow...

Right now, I feel as if I am struggling to get through the weekend. I asked Nat to not work tonight but of course, he has gone off to work. I have to do grocery shopping (which I can't do until Sunday afternoon now) and don't even get me started on the list of everything else I have to do. It is so hard when your partner is on night shift and you are stuck at home with a infectious sick one. You just can't do anything. Oh yeah and Nat is working Saturday too (overtime). Not that I mind the O/T but why the hell he couldn't have taken tonight off I don't understand!
